Dear Families and Community Members,

Welcome to Oakland Meadow School!

It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of a school community so deeply rooted in love, connection, and unwavering support for children and families. At Oakland Meadow, we believe every student deserves an exceptional educational experience that recognizes their unique strengths, celebrates their individuality, and prepares them for a successful future.

Our vision is to be exceptional at providing all students with an individualized education and the necessary supports to be successful in college, career, and life. Our mission is to provide research-based, innovative, and individualized learning opportunities that empower students to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. These beliefs guide every decision we make and every opportunity we create for students. 

At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Strength, Compassion, and Support. These values shape our culture, our relationships, and our commitment to ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and capable of success. Whether students are growing academically, building independence, strengthening communication, developing social-emotional skills, or forming meaningful relationships, our dedicated staff works each day to create opportunities for success and help every student reach their fullest potential. Through Oakland LOVE and our shared values of Strength, Compassion, and Support, we strive to ensure every student feels valued, empowered, and supported on their journey. 

We are also guided by a simple but powerful commitment: to provide an exceptional day of learning to each and every student, every single day. This commitment inspires us to create engaging learning experiences, foster a safe and supportive environment, and continuously seek innovative ways to meet the diverse needs of our students. 

What truly makes Oakland Meadow special, however, is Oakland LOVE!

Oakland LOVE is more than our motto. It is the heartbeat of our school. It is found in the way our staff members support one another, the way students encourage their peers, and the way families and community partners walk alongside us in service to children. Oakland LOVE means leading with kindness, celebrating progress, embracing differences, and believing that everyone belongs. It is reflected in every classroom, every hallway, every event, and every interaction. Oakland LOVE reminds us that together we can create a community where students feel safe, respected, empowered, and loved.
